The story of Linchpin is similar to that of Alice in Wonderland. Hallucinogenic drugs, mad parties, evil queens bossing them around.. not quite! The part were thinking about is the whole, growing up in the face of s*** happening! As a band, Linchpin have had their share of excitement and disappointment. Like most teenagers the Linchpin boys have had to find their place in the world and figure out how to make sense of things like personal family stuff and self confidence in the face of criticism. Unlike most teenagers, Linchpin can count quite a few influential bands as their close friends, people who have helped the band establish themselves and define a sound. Linchpin have built a solid foundation for themselves having released (and sold out twice) their debut EP, developed a tight-ass live act and secured the most dedicated bunch of Uber fans!
Having met three years ago at a South London skate park the band moved into action as their beloved skate park got shut down by a moaning old psycho woman next door. Hence the song, girl next door, ha! Jokes. ErrrrmmmmMoving on. The band quickly built up a solid following and shook off its original pop roots. How hard rocking can a 13 year old really be anyway? Touring the ass off the UK and meeting the 30,000 people that downloaded the bands first ever music video was one of the highlights of the early days of the band. After being locked in a rehearsal room for 6 six months it was time to get on the road!
Now approaching late teenhood, Linchpin are a different band, writing about getting screwed over by so called friends, fighting self confidence issues, facing their critics, making the most of life and the ever popular love gone right/love gone wrong, Linchpin are on a one band mission to get inside the brain of everyone they meet. It aint rocket science!
The future holds a long winding road in a cramped sweaty tour bus up the M74 to Glasgow (its a F****** green man!) and across to our friends in South Wales, down to the South Coast for drunken student nights and always back home to our Motherland, Saaffff Landan, hell yeah! An album is on the cards for early October 2006 and you can bet that means more gigs!

Hey Guys, Thought i'd post a blog to get everyone up to date on whats been happening. Right, 2006 - Important year, we have alot of plans lined up for this year the main one being our debut album!! - more on that in a bit...
Basically this year will be our promotion year. The year that we get the most solid fanbase we can, and we can only do that with your help. If your reading this then download some tracks hook em up to your MP3 player and play it to all your mates, stir some shit up with us, we need some shit stirred up! Any ways back to our ALBUM........... We are currently in pre-production which is basically writing, deciding, thinking about things for the album, its a long process and were no where near finished - this probably explains the lack of gigs and presence over the last couple of months. We currently have a couple more gigs lined up, more details here > March 10th, Basingstoke May 3rd, Guildford Cheers...........JOEY x
