I went to my piercing shop dood and asked for a kit. He told me that you put the smallest in as far as you can without it hurting. Then all day you twiddle it and push it in a little more...then when it goes through, buy a bar or ring that will be the same gauge (thickness) as the stretcher you just did. Then leave it in so it doesn't shrink and after a month or so put the next one up in. I am upto 14mm at the moment using this method, takes time but it makes sure your ears fully adjust/heal.

You can buy the stretching kits pretty cheap ... means you can do it at your pace. You can buy it in osiris in queen st thats where my pal got hers, i got my piercer to do mine when i was going to start it...its 6 n half a dozen if you do it yourself or you get your piercer to do it.

My mate went to a piercer. they cut out the size they wanted & now they're stuck with it that way. I stretched mine myself using expanders, it took a while, but i went up to 10mm i dont have them anymore....i took em out & they healed up fine & i can still wear normal earrings... I'm thinking out stretching again actually....
Yer!! mental!! some places actually do that! its ridiculous!!!! Go 4 the home method LOL do it at ur own pace...it dont cost much & its easy... & it dont hurt that bad!! lol
