So instead of conforming with a group of 'normals' you conform to a group of 'individuals'.

I've never said once it's individual, because it's not. Far from it, and body modification is nothing to do with individuality either. It's simply self expression.

Saying its horrible to look at is personal opinion.
Personally I think girls with white hair and caked in make up is disgusting but other people love it, so its all to do with taste.

Personally I think that question is retarded when it is clearly down to personal taste.
If you don't like them then don't get them done, it's that simple.

I didn't say you weren't entitled to say anything about it, but it is just down to personal taste why people do it.
I personally like the look of it, no real reason to it, just like there is no real reason for all these girls wearing make up.
It is simply aesthetic and that's all it is.
And if it offends your eyes I feel sorry for you, as life is gonna be fucking hard if something that small offends you.

Actually I think you'll find its not normal wearing make up all over the world just as stretching your ears is normal in some parts of the world.
There is nothing wrong with adopting parts of another culture you appreciate.
Learn about something before you argue it please.

You do realize how many things you take for granted you will lose then, like your make up which was not a british custom originally.
It was adopted because people liked it and it gradually became part of the culture.
But yea lets get rid of everything that is a bit different to the 'norms' of society.
