QUOTE(Oasis @ Mar 9 2008, 11:02 AM) Just a quick pointer for anyone looking to change there body, yeah at home exercises will work, but not much. Unless you've got a commercial gym in your house, then join one, fix your diet and give it time. Then you'll see changes.
Anyone needs any help with any of the above I'm only a PM away.. Good point if you are doing it in your living room then there is only so much you can do but if you have a room you can convert you dont need loads of fancy equipment depending on what you want to achieve even if its building muscle a power rack, bench, olympic barbell and selection of decent dumbells are enough. but going to a gym can help put you in the mind set of you are there to train at home there can be distractions but for some it works well. for me a gym is a must even if i only use the back room and do basic bodyweight and circuit training.

trueee i used to just do basic stuf at homee, sit ups, pull ups, press ups, and had a couple of weights but not much. which all worked fine tbh now we have a spare room... which immediately got filled with a treadmill rowing machine, multigym and a few other lil bits and its alot better (IMG: http://www.profileheaven.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) i tried a proper gym a few times but really didnt like it and having one next door to my bedroom is better (IMG: http://www.profileheaven.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) i can use it when i want and do what i want... having a sporty hobby really helps too.... i used to do alot of surfing which really does tone your muscles... and even the muscles you never thought existed.... a good diet is a clever idea too (IMG: http://www.profileheaven.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif) get rid of the crap, eat lots of fruit, and more protein if your wanting to get muscly, and drink lots of water.... 2litres a day is the recommendation and you honestly do feel so much better when you start doing it.... hope it helps (IMG: http://www.profileheaven.com/forum/style_emoticons/default/smile.gif)

I don't agree you need a commercial gym in the house in order to get gym results. They also say free weights are better than the machine equivalent, which I agree. It's about motivation really. When you're in the gym you're there for a reason and you want to get your moneys worth. In the house you're a lot more comfortable and theer can be many distractions. If you do have a decent gym in the house and you're motivated enough to use it even better. You can do loads of important exercises like for example, squats, crunches, military presses, bicept curls and skull crushers with little more than a decent set of weights. If it's cardio then I would recommend getting out in the fresh air if you can rather than going to the gym. Jogging or cycling outdoors is much better and interesting than going to the gym to use a teadmill for half an hour, if you can of course. If you do need a bit of equiptment for the home a good exercise cycle with adjustable resistance doesn't take up much space. These are my youtube subscriptions which offer a lot of examples of what can be done at home with little equipment or expense. http://www.youtube.com/user/scooby1961#g/uhttp://www.youtube.com/user/charliejames1975#p/uhttp://www.youtube.com/user/BazBlog#p/uSorting your diet out is the most important thing.

QUOTE(Oasis @ Dec 19 2009, 11:42 PM) Well yeah, it's all relative.. I agree, I suppose it comes down to what your goal is. If it's just to be generally fit and lose weight, then treadmill, running and walking, and some sort of constant exercise a few times a week, will go down a treat. Badminton is an excellent sport for constant exercise. For building up.... Fire away, I've no idea.
