QUOTE(st3veo @ Nov 21 2009, 4:59 PM) HOW does that gene get passed onto the next generation? can a human (me/you) keep saying to ourselfs right we don't need tonsils anymore because they no longer serve no purpose or we are sick of getting tonsillitis.
do you/i just keep saying that to ourselfs and *BAM* the mini-st3veos and umads will have no tonsils? doesn't just have to be tonsils, could be legs/teeth/hands/feet and so on. This is worthy of Ray Edit: QUOTE(st3veo @ Nov 21 2009, 10:59 PM) if humans one day mirated to the mars, 2000 years later martian humans will look totally different to earth humans and will probably be a sub-species no longer human. I don't think you appreciate how long it takes for a species to evolve into another species. 2000 years in a colony wouldn't make an awful lot difference. Firstly, they likely wouldn't be cut off from Earth civilisation so there would be coming and going, secondly humans are already at the stage where medical science negates an awful lot of natural selection. Human in 2000 years' time - assuming we are still around - will probably be slightly taller, slightly more attractive, and that's about it. If there were conditions on the colony conducive to a particular shape of human (i.e. cramped = short humans, lots of manual labour = muscly/stocky humans) then you might see a tendancy toward that, but that would be it. QUOTE what would evolution change in our dna that would make us evolve different even though all would be breading human to human? atmospheric changes would probably be an answer, but that leads to new questions like what in our body would make those adaptions and pass blueprints for change to the next generation? Umm, random genetic mutation, the same thing that causes all adaptations from one generation to the next? QUOTE why as evolution taken is course that all earths creatures are suited to its enviroment perfectly? why did evolution take its course to make turtles have a shell to hide from predators/camilians changing its colour/snakes with venom/porcupines with spikes etc, afterall once upon a time we all started from the same slop. One of the reasons all of earth's creature appear suited to their environment perfectly is because all the others that weren't suited are now extinct 99.9% or more of all the different species of creatures that have ever existed on Earth have died out. QUOTE one day dolphins may step out of the water and become an intellgent species just like humans, what changes in evolution would make that happen? I don't think "changes in evoution" means anything.

QUOTE(RetroRoxxx @ Nov 22 2009, 9:37 PM) the very idea of atheism is bullshit , suggesting u dont believe in something , suggests something exists Hai. Even ignoring the fact that you apparently don't know what atheism is, this is retarded. You're saying that expressing a negative view about something actually affirms the positive? So if i say "my car is not red" that's equivalent to my confessing that it is, in fact, red? A positive statement about the non-existence of god (which is not the position of most sensible atheists) admits only the reality that SOME people believe in god. I can't believe you're saying that a statement about the non-existence of God, requires god to exist in order to mean something You haven't really thought this through have you?
