and ruined the engine in my car.
You could say it had the automotive version of a stroke...it still works, but it's not the same engine it used to be...half the power and double the noise.

176,000 miles on it and most of them hard pushed. For the last 35,000 miles it's done burnouts, red lined every gear every day ect.}
1.5 diesel peugeot 106.

More pissed off as i actually steam washed the engine today and fixed the rest of it yesterday...apart from the engine and some dents she's fine!

Since i've been running it i saved a few grand away for something decent without finance.

The choices have now been narrowed down to

1997 Era VW Polo 1.9 diesel
Another 106 or Saxo 1.5 diesel
VW Passat 1999 or so 1.9 TDI 110bhp
Audi A4 1.9 tdi 1997 era
Audi A6 1998 era 2.5 V6 tdi

Each replacement has a lot of through and reasoning put into it.
I was just boasting today about how tough the 106 diesels are today..ironic

It's a bit of a shiter just now i guess. I'm saving to buy this house just now and have a good few ££ saved up.
The saxo or 106 diesel would be prefferably or even the polo because of the cheapness to run..the more i save with running them the more i save for the house and the sooner i get it
Sooner i get it, sooner i can get a nice car

Or i could get a nice car now (like the A6 for example) for about £2000, spend £1000 on it and just take a bit longer to get the house
If it's one of the bigger cars, i'll deffenetily have to work a little of my magic on the engine side of things and don't kick it's cunt in this time

The A6 is an awesome car, you would be hard pushed to kill one. They are bombproof big limos.

I think i got all the boy racer out me now. I like driving quick, but not gonna abuse the next car.
hopefully found a 306 HDI to go and check out.
All the fancy's on it as well, air con, factory alloys ect

£1300, 100k on the clock, taxed for 6 months and MOT for 1 year
V-regi

+ the HDI's are a bit perkier with a remap

Edit: Was getting difficult to find an A6 under £2000 which was ok and even at that insurance group 15 isn't too cool. hence the 306 HDI

Opted for the cheaper option

Picked up a 1999 T Reg, Vauxhall Corsa 1.5 Turbo Diesel.
150,000 miles
Some service history
Power steering
Electric Windows
Electric mirrors
Full wind open sunroof
1 years MOT and 6 months tax
Metallic blue, no rust

Not a special car, but i think it was a good price

£1070 was the asking price, but haggled him down to £900.

Needs a few things...
Gearbox mount
Full service
Small bit of rust around rear window
Timing belt + tensioner
Adjust the clutch

Pretty superficial stuff. Supposed to get about 70mpg on these cars if senisble and it's a shit lot comfier and nicer to drive than my clapped out 106 1.5 diesel.

100mph isn't bad either for such a small engine
Gutted it had to be a 5 door though....i wanted a 3 door to limo tint the back windows and turn it into a small van by keeping the seats down
