New legislation in Scotland being passed which makes it illegal to discriminate on the basis of any body modifications unless for medical reasons and health and safety.

I cannot wait to get my hands done, but I already have both sets of knuckles.

Im starting to dislike tattoos around the hand/wrist area, i know a few poeple that have got ones in that area recently and they just seem to be in your face all the time. I prefer tattoos in places you can hide if you needed too

That show I was at on Sunday had a henna stand and the amount of people I saw with or getting henna on the side of their hand like Cheryl Cole was ridiculous. It looked fucking stupid!

Ive wanted a tattoo on my hand for a while too. Just not plucked up the courage to get one yet. I want just a little one, like a pattern or something, nothing too in-your-face though. If you don't get it too much on the side of your hand then it shouldnt come off either. if you get it done on the softer side of your hand then it'll fade and you'll need it going over every few months.

I really wanted one on the inside of my foot but the tattoo guy i go to said it would fade after 2 months and he could only re-do it once, so basically it would look shit. Thats why I go to a decent artist, somebody that actually cares about what there putting on peoples skin.

Personally i wouldnt get a tatt on my hand and agree with everyone else about the fact you use your hands too much for the ink to settle.. although i have a tattoo on my forearm chinese symbols but would never get one on my hand altough some hand tattoos do look nice just not for me

The amount you use your hands has nothing to do with the ink "settling", it's to do with the type of skin whether it stays or not. I've got both mine done and all my knuckles and I've had no issues with any.
