i do them all the time, i would never get 1 though as none are goin past my cuffs. i think they are tacky as fuck and the side of the hand its like a 80% chance of coming off.

LOADS of people have music and lyrics, myself for example and at least 4 or five different people I know, lyrics are WAY more common than stars imo.

One of my tattooists doesnt do hand tattoos because it can lift the skin or something really easily. It takes ages to do and then sometimes the skin can come off. I dunno.
Personally I dont like them.

Each to their own when it comes to tattoos, everyone has music, lyrics, star tattoos - I am one of them. But tbf each person has their own reason for getting it. I know i do.

dont like hand tattoos at all, they fade too quickly and most artists refuse to do them there now, unless there just after the money and dont care, no doubt your going to have it done anyway its your body and your choice but most companys wont employ, there silly like that.

Hand tattoos look really good in my opinion when they are decent designs, same as any tattoo.
They don't fade any more than other tattoos when on the back of your hand, about half a dozen of my mates have them and I'm getting mine soon.
The concept of the letter R on your hand seems a bit strange to me, I assume it relates to someone, but if it's just a letter maybe better to get it somewhere not so visible.
If you get very visible tattoos its normally a better idea to have exceptional artwork.

Some hand tattoos look okay but i wouldn't get a visible tattoo like that cos some employers won't give you a job (IMG:http://media.profileheaven.com/images/style_emoticons/default/shrug.gif)

tbf feet tattoos fade as well. So its not just hand tattoos. The writing on my foot has started fading, well the bit at the side has.
