FIFA 12

Details: FIFA 12 is the 19th in the popular series and promises to be revolutionary, introducing a new engine to the series to show the physicality of football and a big graphics update.
Genre: Sport.
Platform: PC, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Developer: EA Sports.
Publisher: EA.
Release Date: Out Now.

More "soul" is being added to the game. Players going to their old club for game will get booed by fans and some players will go in harder on them for tackles.

Set pieces are getting an overhaul, quick throw in's and less loading times are being implemented to keep up the pace of the game.

Personality Plus, introduced in the last game, has been improved. Players act more naturally towards certain players, so a defender would act more cautiously around Fabregas and would likely mark a player like Peter Crouch more closely.

FIFA 12 introduces the "Impact Engine". The engine is designed to calculate and track contact between players, hips, knees, arms etc. which will become effected over the course of the game.

Passing gets a bit of an overhaul, if you try to pass to a player who isn't in visible range then it won't work, thus eliminating "blind passing".

There is a new presentation of matches in the game, with the developer citing English crowds as an inspiration.

FIFA 12 will also feature a new menu system, in order to make it easier and more manageable.

A new camera mode will be in the game too, being notably closer to the pitch.

Three new arenas will be included, integrating benches as well as "impressive lighting effects".

Call Of Duty: Modern Warfare 3

Plot: After the events of Modern Warfare 2, the world is officially at war with the Russian Federation due to the deception of Russian terrorist Makarov and the now dead General Shepherd. Former Task 141 men Soap and Captain Price are on the run but are launching counter strikes against Makarov in London, Berlin and Paris, as well as feeding information to a squad of Delta Force operatives trying to drive the Russian's from the heart of New York City.
Genre: First Person Shooter.
Platform: PC, PS3, Xbox 360, Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS.
Developer: Infinity Ward and SledgeHammer Games.
Publisher: Activision.
Release Date: Out Now.

Spec Ops mode returns, split into Mission Mode and Survival Mode. Mission Mode is like Spec Ops from MW2, completing objectives in different parameters to earn a possible 3 stars, whilst Survival Mode takes a leaf out of the Treyarch playbook and sees 2 players fight against waves of enemies.

Spec Ops will have it's own rank system and killstreaks.

Enemies in the new Survival Mode include two different Juggernauts, dogs, dogs strapped with explosives as well as helicopters and jets.

Like Zombies from Treyarch games, players earn money from defeating enemies and can spend it between rounds of waves on new weapons, ammo, perks, equipment and can even call in soldiers to support them.

Multiplayer is of course back, with perks both old and new but most importantly, annoying ones like Second Chance and Commando, are OUT.

New weapons are also in the game, 56 in total over MW2's 43 as well as twice as many Attachments and equipment. New weapons include the XM25, a laser targeted grenade launcher.

All weapons in the game come with their own abilities called Proficiencies. Some allow you to add two attachments to a weapon, some allow quicker knife kills and one allows you to reduce weapon recoil.

Multiplayer now has 80 levels per Prestige, with Prestiging now done with Tokens that you can spend in the Prestige Shop. The shop allows you to buy weapon slots, limited Double XP and emblems.

Earning Tokens is done across the entire game, from completing the Campaign on each difficulty, completing Spec Ops missions and of course from reaching Level 80.

Killstreaks have totally been revamped, now called Strike Chains that come in 3 different tiers, Assault, Support and Specialist, using one Chain per game but never allowing to mix and match, forcing you into playing in different ways.

The Assault Package contains things like Predator Missiles, a Pavelow and Precision Airstrikes. These are earned when you get kills and stack if you earn kills with your Chain.

The Support Package contains things like UAV, an EMP and Ballistic Vests. Unlike other Chains, they do not reset when you are killed, meaning you can work your way up to the higher prizes in the game. Support is designed to reward people who help others and with Hardline Pro, 2 assists count towards 1 point.

The Specialist Package is geared for Lone Wolf players, unlocking Perks for players who get more kills as they play and giving them ALL Perks in the game if they reach 8.

MW3 will have an extra feature known as COD Elite, a stat tracking service that shows all of your stats throughout the game and is totally free. A premium subscription allows you to compete for daily prizes worth thousand's of pounds and also gives you early access to all of the game's DLC (which will be monthly and will contain maps, weapons and new Spec Ops missions) and an exclusive TV service.
