lol i did this to a two tutors from college when i was up in manchester, iv not been back up sinse an i originally did this as a thank you but it turned out in to a bit more lol dug some old shit up with it so im gonna have to apologise an do them another one lol

When I first started college, I was so lost
I often wandered aimlessly amongst the thawing frost
Not knowing where to go, or what to do
I was just happy there were a lot more like you
Never before had my tutors been so good
You would have done anything, to make sure I could
The work was so daunting, it often very haunting
As I began to tell of my struggles, you were always there with words like cuddles

You cleared the fog so I could see
I was taught how to be me
I know I’m not stupid & I know I’m not thick, yet these were the thoughts that belonged for so long
It wasn’t until 2 years ago that I was proved so wrong
These thoughts turned to feelings that I could not shake
They were cutting so deep, they were like a vicious venomous snake
I had some excellent tutors that helped ease the feelings
I had some wonderful people that helped take away the thoughts

You instilled me with confidence, courage and might
You showed me what was there ahead and all in sight
I originally started to get a better job, though after a few months I wanted more
You gave me the directions and convinced me I was sure
When I asked for homework you all laughed a lot, I thought it was great to be called a swat
Some tutors looked and asked if I was joking, seeing my face this soon dispersed
I know knew that I only had problems and I was not cursed

As I grew up and never knowing, I often wondered why I wasn’t for going
Why was I different, why wasn’t I the same, why was it me that was always the pain
Once it was known it all made sense, it eased the past told me to change
I knew then that I wasn’t so strange, there are millions of others that have a similar problem
One they see as nothing but a gain, so as a problem it will not remain
For reading and writing isn’t my forte, my imagination is where its stong
I will struggle on an muddle through I will use my positives to get to where I belong

I did this because I said I would show you, I was going to do a nice one for you to read, not one where obvious ditching was in need
They were obviously thoughts that needed to go
As I thought about it I just couldn’t get in to the flow
I tried to say of all you did for me, for all the good that came from that college
Now I’m just a big sponge gaining knowledge
I’m now at uni and I love so much
I wouldn’t be there if it wasn’t for your special touch
The tutors that were there were so good for me
You were the ones that really set me free
I will thank you now again in this
But I will show you soon with my gown an cap on all the pics

It’s a day I will aim for and it wont be long
On that day I will be truly where I belong
All the hard work will seem so worthless
It will all be packed up along with the memories
Along with the thoughts, feelings and all the struggles
That will be the day that will need all them cuddles
