T'was the afternoon in Derby on November 11th. The autumnal sun was low in the sky which cast long shadows on the wet pavement. Crisp newly fallen leaves were blowing about aimlessly in the swirling chilly wind. In the warmth of the hospital, doctors were preparing for the arrival, an arrival which would change the whole world. The wait was stressful. Minutes seemed like an eternity with the big clock above the door ticked slowly. Finally the agonising wait was over, some of the doctors could not resist a few tears as the pizza delivery boy appeared, within the 30 minute period since ordering. The pepperoni and double cheese pizzas would not be going for free this time. Meanwhile across the building in the sterile delivery room, out popped a rather chubby, albeit bouncy baby boy who was to be known as.... David... and then Randy (but that's another chapter).
